Wayne Keith Reynaud

Wayne Keith Reynaud, 68, of Lake Charles passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in his residence.

 

Mr. Reynaud was born on September 23, 1948 in Alexandria and lived in Lake Charles since 1958. He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School and continued his education at McNeese State University where he received a nursing degree. Mr. Reynaud was a Registered Nurse for Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital and South Cameron Memorial Hospital before retiring from West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital 8 years ago. He attended Trinity Baptist Church where he taught the single’s Sunday School class and he also attended First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff Wednesday Bible Study.

 

He loved caring for and cooking for his family and friends and those in need. He enjoyed studying the Bible and sharing his faith in Jesus. He also enjoyed taking trips to Branson and the Ozark Mountains. He was proud to display his father’s woodcrafts and pictures of family.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Jody Alan Reynaud (Cindy) of Sulphur and Sean Reynaud (Debi) of North Carolina; two sisters, Wanda Reynaud Stout (Taylor) of Missouri and Phyllis Reynaud Sollay (Scott) of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Keith and Lauren Reynaud; two step grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Zornes; six nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; and three great great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Toby.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorena and Rev. Coiedia Reynaud.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 18, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
