Weldon W. Bowers

Weldon W. Bowers passed away Friday evening June 24, 2016 with his family by his side.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. There is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge will award to me on that day and not only to me, but to all who loved his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Bowers and by his parents David and Henrietta Bowers.

Weldon is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Marsha Bowers; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Courtney Bowers of Lake Charles; 3 sisters and brother’s-in law, Diane and Bill Young of California, Carolyn and Gene Ducharme of Vinton and Susan Leleux of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, David and Manzita Bowers of Roanoke.

Weldon worked quietly as a man of courage and faith, always with a smile and concern for others.

Funeral services will be conducted on at 10AM Tuesday June 28, 2016, at Johnson Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Bath and Bro. Richard Louviere officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh, LA.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 4PM to 8PM and will continue on Tuesday at 9AM till time of service.

We await our reunion with him.
