Wesley "Jim" Ardoin, Jr.

Wesley James “Jim” Ardoin, Jr., 80, passed away on March 16, 2018 in a local hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He graduated from Sulphur High in 1956, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. Jim was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur and retired from PPG Industries after 36 years. He enjoyed traveling with his loving wife, fishing, coaching his children in sports and spending time with family and friends. Jim was a very loving and generous man, who touched the lives of many.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carolyn Ardoin; his two children, Jeni Duhon and husband Joseph and Cory Ardoin and wife Raquel all of Sulphur; 6 grandchildren, Whitney Brints, Seth Duhon, Kalyn Broussard, Alex Ardoin, Tyler Ardoin, and Alysa Ardoin; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Louise Baker and Brenda Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Agnes Ardoin, Sr.; 2 children, Russell and Kendall Fontenot.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery in Lacassine under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 5-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Tuesday, March 20 at 8 A.M. until time of the service.
