Wesley Kirk William Quinn

Wesley Kirk William Quinn, 12, of Sweet Lake went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.

Wesley was born November 26, 2000 in Lake Charles, LA and was a lifelong resident of Sweetlake, LA. He attended Grand Lake High School, where he played football. He was a member of 4-H and Jr. Beta Club. He loved hunting deer and ducks and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling, hanging out with his friends and going to the beach. He also loved to talk, tell stories and spend time with his dogs, Shelby and Razz.

Wesley is survived by his parents, Kirk Randolph Quinn and Lelia Jene Griffith Quinn of Sweet Lake; sisters, Hailey, Julia, Savannah and Morgan Quinn; grandmother, Judy D. Rutherford of Sweet Lake, LA; aunts and uncles, Molena and Don Duhon of LeRoy, LA, Nathan and Jo Ann Griffith of Johnson Bayou, LA, Dennis and Michelle Griffith of Port Arthur, TX, Hallie and Lisa Griffith of Moss Bluff, Scott and Lola Quinn of Sweet Lake, LA, Karen and Rodger Theriot of Sweet Lake, LA, Blaine and Tracey Quinn of Carlyss, LA and Cynthia and Del Mansco of Sweet Lake, LA; and numerous cousins and other family members.

Wesley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin Bootsie and Sue Quinn and Dave and Eula Griffith; and uncle, Joe Griffith.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. Monsignor Harry Greig will officiate. Burial will follow in Sweetlake-Grand Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:00 AM till 1:00 PM.
