Wes made many life friends during his career at Conoco. As a devoted LSU fan, Wes attended as many of the LSU Tiger Football games as he could during football season. He was fortunate to have been able to golf in several countries around the world. Wes dearly loved this game; it was his passion. He also loved gospel singing and was often heard singing along with gospel singers on television or radio. Wes leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Cherie Schlicher Schnell to whom he was married to for 33 years. He also leaves behind a daughter, Kandis Lee Schnell of Las Vegas, NV; a son, James Michael McNiel and Merry Mason of Carencro, La; a daughter, Pamela Jean Fontenot and Troy Jerome of Carencro. Wesley is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Derald and Vivian Schnell of Oklahoma City, Ok. There are so many, many wonderful friends and relatives who will also mourn his passing.
