Wilbert Leger

Wilbert Leger, 69, of Gillis, LA died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Wilbert was born on August 16, 1945 in Eunice, LA to Joseph " Emery" and Pearl Leger. He loved being around family and friends, fixing electronics, and cars. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. He is survived by one loving son, Paul and wife Tracie Leger of Lake Charles, LA; three grandchildren, Kaleb, Emma, and Cade; sisters, Norma Boudreaux, and Joyce L. Dyer; brothers, Jimmy and wife Carol Leger, Silton and wife Jennifer Leger, and Lee Allen Leger Sr; and loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joseph Milbon Leger. Services will be at 1:30 PM Sunday, January 4, 2015 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at New Ritchie Cemetery. Father John Huckaby will officiate services.
