Willard Smith Mahfouz

Mrs. Willard S. Mahfouz, 87, of Lake Charles, passed away Thursday, surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Mahfouz was a life-long resident of Louisiana, graduating from Louisiana Tech University in 1949. She attended Saint Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Charles, and was a member of the Louisiana Retired State Employees Association. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. C.P Smith and Mrs. Aura Lamkin Smith; her sister, Mrs. Martha Smith Bailey; and her son, Michael Joseph Mahfouz. She is survived by her children; JoLynn Mahfouz Marcantel and her husband Charles of Lake Charles; Al Mahfouz and his wife Tanya of Marksville, Kahlil Mahfouz of Marksville, Michelle Mahfouz Fugatt and her husband Rayburn of Moss Bluff, Gina Mahfouz Michelsohn and her husband David of Albuquerque, NM; Lieutenant Colonel Judd Mahfouz and his wife Jolie of Fort Belvoir, VA, and Lieutenant Colonel Jason Mahfouz and his wife Alisha of Jackson Barracks, New Orleans, LA; twenty-two grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Glenn Viau will officiate. Visitation Sunday will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home. Graveside services Monday will be at 1:00 PM in Prospect Cemetery in Ansley, LA.
