Willdagene Willson Lancaster

Funeral services for Mrs. Willdagene Willson Lancaster, 101, of Sulphur, LA will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10 am at Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Priest William G. Willson, Rev. Steve Shirley and Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Robinson Funeral Home from 4pm to 9pm. Mrs. Lancaster passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. As a very independent woman, she lived alone in Sulphur up until the age of 100. She was a native of Pack, Missouri and moved to Maplewood with her family in January of 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. C. Willson and second husband, William B. Lancaster; 2 grandchildren, James W. C. Willson Jr. and Mark David Fritzinger; and son-in-law, Richard Fritzinger. Mrs. Lancaster worked many years until retiring from Olin Chemical. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Sulphur and Mended Hearts in Lake Charles. She was known for her wit and story-telling and was loved by all those who she came in contact with. Giving back to the community was very important to her, she gave many ways through volunteering at local schools and hospitals. She is survived by 3 sons, William G. Willson and wife Ann of Sulphur, James W. C. Willson and wife Grace of Sulphur, and Stan Willson and wife Karen of Carlyss; 1 daughter, Darlene Fritzinger of Sulphur; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
