William Allen Waldroup passed in the early hours of the morning on March 1, 2022 at the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Home in Jennings, LA. He was born on September 26, 1949 to Roland and Doris Carr Waldroup. He attended USL briefly before being drafted for the Vietnam War, where he worked as a medical transcriber in the U.S. Army. After the war, he made his living as a carpenter, working in the refineries in Southwest Louisiana. His passion for aliens, the paranormal and spinning records is shared by his children and passed on to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister Rolanda Waldroup; his five children, Melissa Kalan, Dianna Waldroup, Rachel Waldroup, Caleb Waldroup and Hampton Waldroup; his eight grandchildren, Peyton, Jacqueline, Ashanti, Romeo, Liam James, Liam Mordecai, Lilith and Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
