William "Bill" Dee Atwell

William Dee Atwell, 74, of Carlyss, passed away on October 29, 2021, at his home. He was born in Pollock, Louisiana to Dee and Eva Atwell. Bill was an avid hunter who liked to hunt just about anything, anywhere. He loved to go R.V. camping, going to Disney World with his family, traveling, and going on cruises. Bill really spoiled those he loved the most with his generosity, all the while picking and joking with them. Grandchildren rarely heard the word no from him, if ever.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Alice “Becky” Billeaud Atwell; daughters, Katherine Atwell Jackson (John), Bobbie Lynn Atwell Gilbert (Robert) and Danielle McGavock; grandchildren, Lyndsay Gilbert, Ryan Gilbert, Sara Gilbert, Taylor Gilbert, Laken Royer, Aaron Jackson, Emily Jackson; three great-grandchildren; brothers, T.D. Atwell, and Lee Atwell; brother-in-law, A.C. Billeaud; sister-in-law, Anita Billeaud; and extended family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Eva Atwell; brother, Bob Atwell; sister, Ann Atwell.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 10 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral home. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 5-8 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM. and resume on Wednesday at 8 AM until time of service.
