William Billy David Monk

William David Monk, 58, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011. He was a native and resident of Lake Charles.

"Billy" was devoted to his mother and helping his friends. He was an Army veteran and worked construction most of his life. He also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Gladys Monk of Lake Charles; two sisters, Catherine Monk Nunez and Susan Monk Connor both of Ragley; two nephews, Nigel Pierrottie of Westlake and Parker Connor of Lake Charles; one niece, Laura Nunez of Ragley.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy J. Monk.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Brother Wayne Dartez will officiate. Visitation will begin Saturday from 1PM until time of service. Cremation is entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
