William "Bucky" Price

William “Bucky” Price, 67, of Lake Charles passed away at 3:10 PM on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in a local hospital.

Bucky was born on May 30, 1954 in Lake Charles where he was a lifelong resident and a 1972 graduate of Lake Charles High School. Following graduation, he joined the US Navy from 1978 until 1981. He served aboard the USS Prairie AD-15. Upon being honorably discharged, he attended Sowela Technical Institute and graduated with a degree in electronics. Bucky began his 20-year career with Kroger in the deli and retired in 2019. He was a past member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

He was an avid runner and electronic tinkerer. Bucky also wrote and recorded music and enjoyed playing the piano.

Those left to cherish his memory are a brother, Dr. Steve F. Price, Jr. (Kathy) of New Orleans; and two sisters, Lou Ann Hebert (Chuck) of Lake Charles and Carolyn Squires (Bill) of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Dr. Steve F. Price, Sr. and a brother, Sterling Price.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. James Eickhoff will officiate.
