William Jamile Hassien

William Jamile Hassien,19 years of age, of Sulphur, went to meet his Lord, on May 19, 2011. Will was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the proud parents of Ellis and Hollis Hassien. Will was a very active young man and was involved in many activities. He enjoyed showing livestock, was an avid hunter, a star football player for Sulphur High and McNeese State University. Will also had a strong passion for soccer. He loved being with his family and friends and will be missed by all. He was a state winner in Pig showmanship. He also received numerous other 4H awards. He was an all district football and soccer player. Named all Southwest and all state football player and all state Honorable Mention. Holds the Sulphur High Record in 200 meter dash which earned him a football scholarship to McNeese State. Will was an Honors graduate from Sulphur High. He is survived by his loving parents, Ellis and Hollis Hayes Hassien, one sister, Sarah Hassien, one brother, Jacob Hassien. Will was loved by his paternal grandmother Pat Hassien, lovingly known to all as Kica. His great-great Aunt Inez Jackson. Uncle Mike and Aunt Linda Shirey and children Brian Shirey and spouse Toni and their children, Noah and Hannah Shirey all of Hammond, LA. Also Jessica Shirey and children Daniel and Callie of Hammond, LA. Mickey Kelley and daughter Lori Kelley-Mull and her two children Connor and Savannah of Cary, NC. Will is also surrounded in love by his extended family which includes: Lisa Hayes Boudreaux, Steven Boudreaux, Jodi Hayes Oliver, Richard Boo Oliver, and their children, Colby, Chloe, and Cesilee Oliver. Cody Hayes, Stacy Hayes, and their children, Guy and Gage Hayes. Lori Hayes Lemons, Charlie Lemons, and their children, Hadley and Cooper Lemons. Uncle Terry Hayes and his wife Aunt Pam, Dustin Hayes and his wife Amber Hayes, their children, Mason Smith, Samantha Hayes, and Hailey Hayes. Aunt Linda and Uncle Ivan Richard. Cousins Patrick Hayes and his family and Dick Hayes and his family. Will will be greeted in heaven by his maternal grandparents, Ma and Pa, (E.W. and Alla Ray Hayes) and his uncle, Mark Hayes. His paternal grandfather, Jamile Hassien. Arrangements have been entrusted to Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana. Visitation will be Saturday, May 21, 2011at Robison Funeral Home from 3:00-9:00 and will resume on Sunday, May 22 from 10-12. The funeral services will be held at Henning Methodist Church in Sulphur at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Woodlawn. The family asks that all lift them up in prayer during this time and remember the wonderful and loving memories that each spent with Will. Pallbearers will include: Wesley Hayes, Kindall Broussard, Brandon Keiffer, Justin Johnson, Blake Sanner, Nick Tramonte, Matt LeBato, Josh East. Honorary Pallbearers are as follows: Chad Miller, Tanner Kukendal, Corey Olsen, Dylan Stizlein, Kyle Bougeouis, Garrett McCain, Ryan Perez, Alex Onxley, Oren Fontenot, Phillip Boyette, Logan Hayes and Cole Gunter. Special recognition to the Sulphur High School Class of 2010 and the McNeese State University football team. Family requests that all football players please wear your jerseys. Donations can be made to William J. Hassien Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund.
