William "Keith" Gilley

William "Keith" Gilley, 63, of Longville, LA died at 2:55 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Gilley was born August 31, 1950 in Lake Charles, LA, attended Lake Charles High School and has lived in Longville, LA for the past seventeen years. He worked for Pelican Well Services, retiring in 1987. He loved to attend Longville Pentecostal Church. Mr. Gilley enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and spending time at his camp. His passion was spending time with his mother and his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his joking personality. He was preceded in death by his father, William Elbert Gilley; grandchildren, Camren Rougeau and Joseph West; and his beloved dogs, Shadow and Misfit. Mr. Gilley is survived by his wife, Theresa Germaine Tomplait Gilley; children, Theresa Chaisson and husband Kenneth Chaisson, Jr. of Sulphur, LA, Bobbie Fontenot and husband Stoney of Lake Arthur, LA, Robin Trahan and husband Victor of Carencro, LA, Jared Gilley of Westlake, LA, Kevin Gilley and wife Jessicka of Sulphur, LA and Travis Gilley of Sulphur, LA; mother, Blanche Gilley of Lake Charles; brother, Kenneth Gilley and wife Betty of Lake Charles; sisters, Glenda LeJeune and husband Craig of Sulphur, LA and Leisa Dial and husband Artie of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Courtney and Trey Chaisson, Dillian and Jesse LeBlanc, III, Tylar and Cami Lea LeBlanc, Gage Harrison, Alyssa Trahan, Christian and Andrew West, Abigail Trahan, Gavin Vincent, Damian, Owen and Devin Gilley, Austin, Damon, Hailey, and Kevin Gilley, Jr., and Scottlynn Clark; nephew, Dwight Gilley and wife Debbie; and numerous other family members and friends. His funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Larry Talent will officiate. Burial will follow in Creel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
