William Kelly Cookson Jr.

William “Bill” Cookson Jr., 96, of Westlake, passed from this life on Monday, July 22, 2024, with family by his side. Bill was born on November 22, 1927, in Port Arthur, Texas to William Cookson Sr. and Electa Cookson. He was a retiree of PPG. Bill held the title of Master of the Westlake Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner with the Habibi Temple. He also was a Major in the National Guard and served as Commander of the local battalion.

Those left to cherish Bill’s memory are his sons, Ronnie Cookson, and Scot Cookson; daughter, Donna Dailey.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Electa Cookson Sr.

The family wishes to thank Stonebridge Assisted Living and Harbor Hospice for their care and compassion for Bill during these difficult times.

A graveside Masonic service will be held at 1PM on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
