William (Red) Chambers, 71, went to be with The Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2015. He was born in Opelousas, LA., and spent most of his life in Lake Charles, La, upon retirement moved to Johnson Bayou before moving to Toledo Bend, where he resided for the past 8 years. He was a 1962 graduate of LaGrange High School and proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1962 - 1966. He worked for Sasol (Vista Chemical), Westlake La., for 33 years. He was survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Jeannine Ledger Chambers, his daughter, Wendi Chambers Neill of Palatine, IL., stepdaughters, Shawntel Clopper and Monique Elam of the Sulphur, La., area, his sister, Cheryl Attaway of Point Blank, TX., and his brother, Robert Chambers, of Phoenix, AZ., 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was known to his grandchildren and great grandchildren as PawPaw Red or Pop Red. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father William Q. Chambers and Vera (Greenlee) Provost, his grandson Nicholas Isidore Neill. As per the request of the deceased and family there be will no memorial services.
