William Leroy Jackson, 67 of Sulphur, passed away on March 31, 2012 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Parkview Baptist Church in Sulphur, LA with Rev. Randall Chesson officiating. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at Wilson Cemetery in Milam, TX. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 4-9p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church in Sulphur and will resume on Tuesday at 8a.m. until time of service. Leroy was a native of Hemphill, TX and a longtime Sulphur resident. He received his Business Degree from Massey Business School. He later went to work for the Local 406 Operating Engineers as a heavy equipment operator. Leroy was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Leroy is survived by his wife, Becky Jackson of 46 years, of Sulphur; two sons, Bill Jackson of Austin, TX, and David Jackson and wife, Tabi of Sulphur; brother, Robert Lee Jackson and wife, Tommie of Carlyss; sister, Bobbie White and George Loper of Hemphill, TX; two grandchildren, Gavin and MaKenzie Jackson of Sulphur; brother-in-law, James Terrell Gaskin of Carlyss and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Glynis Gaskin.
