William Mitchell Settle

William Mitchell Settle, 93, of Lake Charles, LA died at 5:31 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Mr. Settle was born March 28, 1921 in Strawn, TX and has lived in Lake Charles since 1978. He worked in sales all of his life, spending twelve years at Mike Jacobs Office Supply and retiring from LBM Office Supply in 1988. Following his retirement, he worked at Aladdin's Castle in the Prien Lake Mall. He will always be remembered for his jokes and his stories. Mr. Settle is survived by his daughters, Patty Gayle Corcoran and Toni Michelle Pazambriz, both of California; two step-sons, John Cecil Ball and John Travis Ball, Jr., both of Lake Charles; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Wilfert Settle. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
