William Paul "Will" Polk

William Paul “Will” Polk, 35, of Lake Charles passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 unexpectedly in his residence.

Will was born on April 10, 1987 in Lake Charles where he resided all of his life and attended Barbe High School. He worked at several local grocery stores as a professional meat cutter.

He was a loving father, who deeply cherished his one and only daughter, Savannah Marie Polk. She was his greatest pride and joy. Will never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He loved the outdoors and fishing, music, movies, skateboarding, and spending time with his family, friends, and anyone who could keep him laughing. He also enjoyed playing with his dogs, Rocky and Izzy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Savannah Marie Polk; has father, David Polk; stepsister, Dana Hungerford; stepbrother, David Hungerford; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Helen Floyd Polk.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
