William Wayne Kohler

William Wayne Kohler, 67, of Lake Charles died at 9:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in a local hospice facility. Mr. Kohler was born on November 12, 1946 in St. Louis, MO and was a graduate of Pekin High School in Pekin, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Kohler worked construction as a laborer and brick layer. He enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as spending time with his family. Survivors include a daughter, Angela Walker and husband Ira of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, and Lucas Walker all of Lake Charles; a sister, Cindy Chatman and husband Mike of Sulphur; an aunt, Lillian Vernon of Lake Charles; an uncle, John Leach of Lake Charles; a niece, Jocelyn Michon; a nephew, Dana Chatman; a closest cousin, Brenda Guillory; and several other cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Greg Bath will officiate. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
