June 18, 1939 — March 1, 2015

Willie Pearl Fruge, 75, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, March 01, 2015 in a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Fruge was born and raised in Anacoco, LA and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She worked as a waitress throughout the area. Mrs. Fruge loved people and enjoyed gatherings of family and friends and especially loved to have a good time. She had a way about brightening the spirit of others. She will be most remembered for her smile and contagious laugh. Mrs. Fruge was great cook; her signature dishes were, biscuits and gravy, smothered potatoes and chicken and dumplings. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, William Lynn Hunter of Beaumont, TX; five grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Manuel of Lake Charles and Armie Lea Gibson and husband Dale of Wetumpka, AL; numerous nieces and nephews and her extended family and friends at Resthaven Nursing Home of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lorene Smith Graham. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 04, 2015 in Old Anacoco Cemetery in Anacoco, LA. Rev. Todd Eagan will officiate. Visitation Tuesday was in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
