Willie Ray Leger

Willie Ray Leger, 66, of Grand Lake, LA died at 10:58 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in a local care facility. Mr. Leger was born September 7, 1947 in Grand Chanier, LA. He worked for O'Brien Flying Service for a number of years. He was a member of the Big Lake Gospel Tabernacle Church. Ray loved to fish, hunt, and dance, but his true passion was for his family and his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Renne Leger; three sisters, Pat Poole, Peggy Abshire, and Jerry Trahan and husband Ricky; brother, E. J. Leger and wife Armentine; and four grandchildren, Kodi Savoy, Ashley Savoy, Heather Leger, and William Leger. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Linda Lou Leger; son, Jason Leger; parents, Willie and Erma Marie Leger; and sister, Tootsie Foreman. His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gary Mann will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
