Willman Eugene Guillory, Sr.

January 22, 1935 — August 17, 2018

Willman “T-Will” Eugene Guillory, Sr. was born to the union of Jefferson Guillory and Francis LeDay Guillory on January 22, 1935.

 

He was called to his eternal heavenly home August 17, 2018. During his lifetime he was considered a trailblazer. His greatest accomplishments was his marriage to Lydia Francis Guillory, who preceded him in death and the raising of nine children, numerous grandchildren, and being a community father and grandfather. Willman started the first trail ride club in the area known as the Lake City Riders, was an active member of the Knights of Peter Claver and Fourth Degree Knights, and served in other social, community, and church groups throughout his lifetime. As a retired professional Mason he dedicated time to Family and Friends always greeting them with food, laughter, love, and shelter.

 

He leaves a legacy of service and love to be continued by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by a host of family and friends including his children: Audrey Coleman, Yvonne Delafosse, Willman Guillory, Jr. (Janice), Norma Guillory, Shelia Golden (Calvin), Mark Guillory, Cheryl James, Andrea Rose, and Sabrina Nikaghanri (Theo); 21 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren & 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.

 

Funeral Service will be at 12 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 612 Louisiana Avenue, Lake Charles, LA. Father Richard Uche Adiukwu will officiate. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles LA on Friday August 24, 2018 from 5 PM to 9 PM, with a 4th Degree Knight of Peter Claver ritual and rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
