Wilma Landry

February 8, 1940 — July 26, 2017

Wilma Lee Martin Landry, 77, of Sulphur passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, in a local care center.

She was a lifelong Sulphur resident, member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and a past CFMA Mardi Gras queen.  Wilma will be remembered for her candid personality.  She was a private person and enjoyed reading and crocheting.   

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Ashford and husband, Trey of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Mark Landry of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Maggie Graves, Joshua Landry, Brady Landry, Lana LeBlanc, Ashley Daigle, Danielle Landry, Ryan Landry, Megan Landry, Kayla LaCour, C. Warren Landry and Stephen Landry; great grandchildren, Luke and Lyla Graves.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Warren “Mutt” Landry and one son, Terry James Landry.

Funeral services for Wilma will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with Father Paul Jussen, M.S. officiating.  Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 4-9 PM and will resume on Saturday from 8 am until the time of service.
