Wilma Mae Nicholson

Wilma Mae Nicholson, 75, of Lake Charles died Sunday, May 22, 2011 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Nicholson was born raised and educated in Gridley, KS and has lived thirty years in Lake Charles. She enjoyed caning, sewing, playing cards and exploring with her computer. She will be remembered for her cooking and baking, especially her home made bread and apple pies. Mrs. Nicholson was a member of Chapter of the sorority.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 52 years, Dallas Earl Nicholson of Lake Charles; one daughter, Brenda Nicholson Rayburn and husband Tom of Fairfax, VA; one son, Blair Allen Nicholson and wife Jane of Denham Springs; five grandchildren; Scott, Kaitlin and Zachary Rayburn and Dylan and Devin Nicholson; one brother, Fred Isch and wife Joanne of Dayton, OH and one sister, Louise Lavin of Topeka, KS.


Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Donald Varnadore will officiate. Visitation Thursday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army, 3020 Legion Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601.
