Wilson Duhon, 93, passed away in a local hospital on August 5, 2018.
He was born on March 9, 1925 in Elton, LA to Alfred and Emma Duhon.
He was a World War II Veteran and served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He worked as a sign painter for the painter’s local union. He was a charter member of South City Christian Church. He will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 75 years, Percy Granger Duhon; sons, Farrel Duhon (Cay) and Ronnie “Boo Boo” Duhon (Donna); daughters, Jean McGee (Donald) and Delana “Lannie” Thorn (Jim); 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Zella Cupit, Ina Patrick, Windola Osborn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter Duhon and Beo Duhon; and sisters, Irene and Iva.
His funeral service will be held at South City Christian Church on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 10 AM. Pastors Rob Bacon and David Lang will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Liberty Cemetery in Elton, LA. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday from August 7, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM and will continue at South City Christian Church on Wednesday from 9 AM until the start of the service.
