Wilton Ray Hebert

February 2, 1946 — March 23, 2016

Wilton Ray Hebert of Grand Lake, La. went to be with his Eternal Father on March 23, 2016 in Gordonville, TX. Wilton was born February 2, 1946 in Grand Lake, La. to Leslie and Allie Hebert. He attended school in Grand Lake. He developed a strong admiration for all things outdoor, he loved horses, boating, fishing, traveling and just sitting outside listening to the birds.

Wilton was a longtime employee for US Fish and Wildlife, Cameron Prairie, until 1997 when he became medically inactive due to a permanent back injury. He relied heavily on his love, trust, faith and strength in his Father in Heaven.

Hebert of Gordonville, TX; his children from a previous marriage, daughter Elizabeth Higginbotham of Sulphur, LA; son, Shawn Hebert and wife Lisa of Tylertown, MS; son Shannon Hebert of Baytown, TX; Ivan Hebert of Lake Charles, LA; step-sons, Robert Wheeler and Jimmy Wheeler and wife Connie, all of Gordonville, TX; 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
