Yvonne Esther Adams Vives

Yvonne Esther Adams Vives, 61, of Iowa, LA., passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 in Lake Charles. Yvonne was born on November 2, 1961, in New York City, NY., to Keith B. Adams of Windsor England and Ann M. Dray Adams of Kent England.

After  graduating from Levittown Memorial High School, Yvonne served in the U.S Army as a radio TT operator until she was honorably discharged.  In her down time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, traveling, spending time with her family, and watching her British shows and enjoying a nice hot cup of tea. She loved her dog Aura, she was her traveling companion. She had an amazing laugh that would light up the room.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Hiram A. Vives; children, Ira Martin and wife Amy, Lauren Sivils and husband Jason, Evan Vives and wife Michelle Wright, and Alexander Vives and wife Samantha; 6 grandchildren, Brooklynn Martin, Phoenix Martin, Thomas Chapman, Jr., Dakota Chapman, Hunter Sivils and Anastaszia Wright­ Vives.

The family has entrusted her cremation arrangements to Johnson Funeral Home, 4321Lake St., Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Military graveside services will take place at Houston National Cemetery, in Houston, TX. at a later date.
