Carol Comeaux

Carol Young Comeaux passed away at her residence on June 29, 2017.

Mrs. Comeaux was born on April 27, 1948 in Lake Charles, LA to Alvin and Rita Young.

She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1966 and married John S. Comeaux in 1967 and together they raised a family. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, an excellent cook, and enjoying family poker nights. She also enjoyed going to Houston Astros games, cheering on the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins, and listening to classic R&B and Elvis Presley music.

She is survived by her children, Tracy Mitchell (husband Mike), Shannon Comeaux (fiancé Dustin Leveque), and Darin J. Comeaux (wife Kim DeMaskey Comeaux); grandchildren, Jack and William Mitchell, Sydne Hanisee, Sophie Fontenot, Aimee Haney, Eric and Sarah Leblanc, Devany Hooper and Hunter Comeaux; brother, David Young (fiancé Marcie Duhon); sister, Dorothy Johnston (husband Doug Johnston); and sister in law, Barbara Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Darrell Young.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at 11 AM. Deacon Anthony Pousson will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday July 4, 2017 from 5 PM until 9 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8 AM until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover expenses.
